Mid Hills Ride- 7 Days

Taking on the mid-hills challenge, we reach the last Nepalese frontier, Kodari on the Nepal – Tibet border.

Riding astride our Bullet Enfield Motorbikes we hit the road from Kathmandu to Namo Buddha, via Lakuri Bhanjyang. Zooming past beautiful Newari farmsteads and wooded slopes we reach the Buddhist stupa of Namobuddha, located atop Panauti. Our next stop is Jiri. Lying at an altitude of 1,905 metres, this small town used to be the trailhead for treks leading to Mount Everest region before the airstrips in Lukla came into action.

After spending a restful day in Jiri, we hit the road to The Last resort in Kodari, on the Nepal-Tibet highway. The Last Resort is located on top of a green river gorge and is connected to the main road by a metal suspension bridge 166 meters long and 160 meters high. Bungee jumping from here is the ultimate rush as this is one of the longest free-falls in the world. Speeding along the hair pin bends and deep gorges we reach Dhulikhel, a Newari village and a hill resort. The exciting downhill ride from Dhulikhel that deviates right at Bhaktapur to take us to Nagarkot is the final day highlight of the Mid Hills Ride. Savoring the Himalayan giants from Nagarkot the ride slides down to Bhaktapur and eventually to Kathmandu, where the trip officially ends.
